The Cream Store is a retail store situated in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Selling branded clothing and homewares from brands like Fred Perry, Carhartt WIP, Barbour, and more.
We developed a custom eCommerce store with Woocommerce and content creation for the website and marketing. We first needed to integrate the Epos system (Vend), so stock and orders are linked and work flush whilst they sell in person simultaneously. Linking Meta Business Suite to enable shopping within Facebook & Instagram and Google Ads so they can advertise on Google Shopping to create leads.
Social Media Marketing
Minimal third-party plugins were the aim of this project, so all features were developed by ourselves to minimise clashes and the overall site’s performance. With years of experience with product photography, we took the overall look of this site to the next level with our content creation used on banners, email marketing and for use on Instagram & Facebook.
As 80% of users on this site were on mobile phones, we needed to make the site mobile-friendly and easy to navigate. We achieved this with easy-to-use and large buttons on the navigation of the site and animations on the UI, so it was more apparent to the user.
Custom Checkout Page
Taking inspiration from Shopify with the simplicity of their checkout UI, we took it into our own hands to use this as inspiration for the checkout and thank you page; This resulted in an easy-to-use interface for desktop and mobile users when purchasing off this site.
Additional features include a bespoke Wishlist so users can log into their account, add products to their Wishlist, and have the convenience of viewing their list with the site’s account page; This is where they can reference products or delete unneeded products. A student discount form that takes the student’s details to help validate if they are a student, and if applicable, an email is sent automatically with a coupon code that is available to use until they graduate on the site.
A bespoke written Radio page featuring artists from the local area to help promote their music; This helps bring the feel of in-person shopping to online as it enables the user to listen to music whilst shopping on the site.
Various Payment Options
Product recommendations and popular searches appear whilst searching on the site; these change as users visit the site and products sell to increase sales of the best-selling products of the month. Maintenance and upkeep of this site are minimal as all features are developed to work together; this also reduces the chances of downtime when doing a monthly update on plugins with payment providers. Payment providers linked to this site are Klarna, Paypal and Square. They are available to the user on the checkout page.
The backend of the site is where The Cream Store can edit the content on the homepage and images on the site without any coding experience.
